The Obstacle: Social Distancing
The Styrian Economic Development Agency (SFG) organizes the Take Tech career experience initiative on behalf of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. For this initiative, Styrian model companies open their doors to give young people an insight into job profiles and career opportunities of tomorrow. Furthermore, companies also try reaching potential apprentices. But social distancing is causing problems when it comes to choosing a future apprenticeship. Potential companies might not be open to in-person visitation and information folders rarely suffice when it comes to getting a full picture.
The Solution: Virtual Reality
Through a virtual reality shoot, a company can be made virtually accessible to future employees. Interested parties are thus given the opportunity to take a closer look at the company, the premises and the atmosphere.
Take Tech implemented the solution together with panoroom and was thus able to successfully continue the project even with the pandemic. In addition, employer branding videos were produced for many companies with our partner agency Jack Coleman & 4movies.com in order to convey the company cultures in an even more impressionable way.
A large number of companies, from big players such as KNAPP AG or ZETA Gmbh to family businesses, were photographed in 3D as a part of Take Tech’s digitalization process, giving them the opportunity to present themselves virtually to their new team members. The tours are now available on the Take Tech website and help open the doors and show the versatility of Styrian companies.
Conclusion: A Step Towards the Future for Small and Large Companies Alike
Slowly but surely, a notion of virtuality benefiting people’s skills and capabilities is emerging across industries. Instead of only roughly recording incomplete information, instruction videos can be viewed from home or the office, as well as on the go. Tedious journeys and meetings are no longer necessary today, because both the premises and the atmosphere can now be made tangible in all their glory – through the screen!
